A Three-Day Strategic Planning Session of the Sofia Brotherhood Took Place

On February 18, a Strategic Planning Session of the Sofia Brotherhood began in the city of Bucha under the leadership of facilitator and coordinator of the “Dialogue in Action” initiative, Tetiana Kalenychenko. The purpose of the event was to review and update the organization’s strategy, as well as to develop a tactical plan for its further development.

On the first day of the meeting, the Brotherhood members worked on defining their mission, goals, and objectives, and formulated key priorities for the future.

On the second day of the Strategic Session, members of the Sofia Brotherhood held a memorial service (litia) at the site of a mass grave of local residents who were killed by Russian occupying forces.

The Bucha mass grave emerged on the grounds of the local Church of All Saints of the Land of Ukraine in the first days following the Russian invasion. A total of 116 people were buried on the church grounds.

After the prayer, members of the Brotherhood visited a photo exhibition dedicated to the occupation of Bucha, displayed within the church.

On the final day, participants summarized the outcomes of the strategic planning process, developed a plan of activities for the coming year, and identified key tasks and areas of responsibility. During the closing circle, each member shared their impressions of the three-day session and reflected on their personal takeaways.

We recall that the event took place in Bucha with the support of the Centre for Humanitarian Dialogue and the “Dialogue in Action” initiative. The Strategic Session lasted three days.
