Dear friends,
We have compiled a collection of texts—publications, presentations, and articles—written and delivered between April and October 2025 as part of the project “Modern Ukrainian Orthodoxy: Debunking Myths for the Sake of Reconciliation among Orthodox Christians in Ukraine and the Consolidation of Ukrainian Society.”
The volume includes materials from webinars, round tables, public discussions, analytical essays, and original reflections by theologians, philosophers, clergy, scholars of religion, and public intellectuals. At its core are attempts to understand the deeper causes of the crisis within Ukrainian Orthodoxy, a critical examination of myths and prejudices, and a search for a language of dialogue, paths toward reconciliation, and the common good.
This collection aims to preserve and make accessible the intellectual and public work produced within the project, and to serve as a foundation for further professional and public discussion.
The project was implemented with the support of the German foundation Renovabis in cooperation with the NGO “Sophia Brotherhood.”
